Solution:

  1. Create a backup file of the current FortiClient configuration: Backing up the full configuration file.

To back up the full configuration file:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Under System, select Backup.
  3. Select the file destination.
  4. Enter a password to save the file in an encrypted format with a password.
  5. Select OK.

  1. Similarly, create a backup file of the FortiClient from which the profile will be imported.

  2. Open both the files with Notepad, as below:

In the left notepad file, there is profile 'LDAPS-FGT', and in the left notepad file, there is profile 'Imported-Profile'.

  1. Copy the configuration part from to (from the config file that is desired to be imported into the profile).
  2. Locate and in the next line, paste the configuration below the existing one.
  3. Save the config file and restore it in the FortiClient: Restoring the full configuration file.
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Expand the System, and select Restore.
  3. Locate and select the file.
  4. If the configuration was protected with a password, a password text box displays. Enter the password used to encrypt the backup configuration file.
  5. Select OK.
